Sharpen Your Keyword Tool

How many times have you hear the tale of the lumberjack not stopping to sharpen his ax because he didn’t have the time? Well, disregarding who you are or what you do, or whether your tools are physical or electronic, it will always be essential to continually sharpen your tools.

So, how do you “sharpen” your tools? Check for updates?
Well, of course, that’s important…especially with how fast technology advances! But, what I’m talking about is the processes and keyword tools you use to manage your keyword lists.

Let’s take a caucus right now. Once you’ve indeed used the great keyword tools out there to build your list, which programs do you use to cut that list down or delete the undesired words and phrases?
Word? Excel? Notepad?

And how long does it take you per thousand to edit to your satisfaction? Well, if you are using any one of these tools, here are a few tips to help you speed things up a bit: Make sure you sort your list a couple of times. Sure, you can start by sorting alphabetically or by number of keywords in your phrase, but to get the most capability from your keyword tool, the best process is to go through your list several times, each time sorting and filtering your list in other way. You will be surprised to see how many phrases you overlooked even after the 3rd time!

Slow down and be detailed: I know, I know…the last thing you want to do is go slowly. Not when you’re looking at a 20,000 word keyword list. But, you will save yourself time and money if you make sure your list is clean of all of the unwanted phrases.

Try to find the best keyword tool for your purpose: What are you going to be using your keyword list for? Will you be building network web sites? Will you be engaging a huge PPC campaign? Will you be using the different groups to focus on different niches? Well, I believe one of the best keyword tool for any of these purposes is Keyword Companion that will be launched on the market on June 26th. This tool, with no trouble at all, manages lists well over the tens of thousands, and supports you break up, keep track of, and arrange the categories you’ve created from your list. I haven’t seen something like it out there, and it sure beats using excel for hours and hours!

Once you’ve made sure you keep your keyword tool sharpened, the next move is to utilize your keywords and their groups wisely. Be sure to succeed in the contest of the search engines.

We’ve all seen the significance of using the right keywords escalate over the past couple years, and that keystone for your internet marketing doesn’t appear to have any chance of losing its relevancy any time soon.

So, it’s important to have the correct keyword tool to administrate the lists you’ve spent so much time and effort to create. Regardless which tools you use, as long as you spend substantial time using them to their best strengths, your keyword management and subsequent keyword groups will provide you the remarkable results you are missing.

Here is a great place to get "Podsafe Music."

What can happen if you don't play podsafe music on your podcast? That's one riddle facing podcasters who want to play music: the cost of licensing.

Or, short of that, the fear that if you DON’T have proper licensing in place you’ll get snared by the RIAA or the Music Police or some such Big Brother entity and you’ll spend the rest of your life in jail or paying huge fines.

Hmm. Not fun! So I was elated when GarageBand.com came along offering thousands of podsafe songs for free!

In fact, the fun folks at GarageBand.com market themselves as a place for podsafe music – some 40,000 tunes.

If you are a member of a band, you can join GarageBand.com and upload your own songs. There are a couple of ways: either review 30 songs and upload for free, or pay a reasonable fee of about $20 to upload songs, which will then get reviewed by other GarageBand.com members.

As a podcaster, though, this is where the concept really works. You can pick a genre (acoustic, alternative, rock, world, etc.) and download to your heart’s content. Each band that uploads music under one of three arrangements: either they give it away to anyone for podcasting under any circumstance, or they offer it available once you contact them and ask for permission, or they offer it as streaming audio only. Whatever way, you get podsafe music for your podcast - and lots of it.

And of course the band gets free publicity, and GarageBand.com also gets a boost because you’ll undoubtedly want to mention them on your podcast.

I won’t go into all the great benefits that musicians and working bands get out of GarageBand.com, but if you are in a band and haven’t heard of this website, you’ll want to check it our post-haste.

I’ve been looking to spice up my show with some music for awhile, and other than playing my OWN music, this looks to be a great source of podsafe music.

The chairman of GarageBand.com's Advisory Board is Sir George Martin, the man who signed The Beatles and produced all of their records (except for the Phil-Spector produced ‘Let It Be’). Jerry Harrison, ex-Talking Head and professional producer, is a co-founders.

Take a listen to GarageBand.com and no doubt you'll find some great 'podsafe' music for your podcast.

I really recommend Garageband.com they have some great artists and music there.

Information and Education Can Be Relayed

You don't have to market to sell something. While that seems odd, and even contradictory, consider that consumers no longer want to be talked at or sold to, rather they want to be the chooser, and if you can educate them, they just might choose you.

Think back to the last few purchases you made. You probably purchased because you needed (or thought you needed) the item in question. We purchase, usually, to fill needs. If your podcast can educate listeners as to thier needs for your product, without ever mentioning the product, then you've created a need where there once was not one. If your company sponsor's the podcast, they'll be reminded on open and close of your product, it's really not beneficial to actively market during the podcast.

Ask about having intros and outros created to market your product, and keep the actual podcast dedicated to general education. People trust those who help them. You have a wealth of knowledge on your subject matter, market that knowledge.

Finally the summer have arrived here in Norway :-)

iTunes have released their new version, where you can subscribe to a Podcast directly in iTunes.
I have tested it a few days now and i like it,it works Great!!! Everything is easier when you can click "Subscribe" to a Podcast you like :-)
Go and test it out,you may like it :-) I like it alot :-) But of course i will continue to test and see,but my first impression is very good.

RSS is the latest Buzz in online publishing. But what exactly is RSS?

RSS or Rich Site Syndication is a file format similar to XML, and is used by publishers to make their content available to others in a format that can be universally understood.
RSS allows publishers to "syndicate" their content through the distribution of lists of hyperlinks.
It has actually been around for a while, but with the advent of spam filters and online blogging, it is fast becoming the choice of ezine publishers who want to get their message across to their subscribers.
However, not much attention has been given to the advantages RSS provides for search engine optimization.

Why Search Engines Love RSS

Many SEO experts believe that sites optimized around themes,or niches, where all pages correspond to a particular subject or set of keywords, rank better in the search engines.
For example, if your website is designed to sell tennis rackets, your entire site content would be focused around tennis and tennis rackets.
Search engines like Google seem to prefer tightly-themed pages.
But where does RSS figure in all this?
RSS feeds, usually sourced from newsfeeds or blogs, often correspond to a particular theme or niche.

There are several publishers of RSS feeds that are specific to a particular theme.
Since the feed is highly targeted, it could contain several keywords that you want to rank highly for.
Adding these keywords to your pages helps Google tag your site as one with relevant content.

2. RSS Feeds Provide Fresh, Updated Content

RSS feeds from large publishers are updated at specific intervals. When the publisher adds a new article to the feed, the oldest article is dropped.

One thing I never anticipated would happen as a result of adding an RSS feed to my site was that the Googlebot visited my site almost daily.
To the Googlebot, my page that had the RSS feed incorporated into it was as good as a page that was being updated daily, and in its judgement, was a page that was worth visiting daily.
What this means to you, is that you will have your site being indexed more frequently by the Googlebot and so any new pages that you add to your site will be picked up much faster than your competitors.
How does this benefit you as a marketer?

Well, for example, let's says a top Internet Marketer comes out with a new product that you review and write up a little article on, and that your competitors do the same.
Google generally tends to index pages at the start of the month and if you miss that update, you will probably need to wait till the next month to even see your entry in.
But, since your site has RSS feeds, it now gets indexed more frequently. So the chances of getting your page indexed quickly are much higher.
This gives you an advantage over the competition, as your review will show up sooner in the search results than theirs.
Imagine what an entire month's advantage could do to your affiliate sales!
Why Javascript Feeds Are Not Effective
Some sites offer javascript code that generates content sourced from RSS feeds for your site.
These are of absolutely no value in terms of search engine rankings, as the googlebot cannot read javascript and the content is not interpreted as part of your page.
What you need is code that parses the RSS feed and renders the feed as html content that's part of your page.
This is achieved using server side scripting languages like PHP or ASP.

So in conclusion, besides optimizing on page and off page factors, adding RSS feeds to your pages should be an important part of your strategy to boost your search engine rankings.

There are some tools out there,for RSS and Feeds,some are ok and some are excellent.
Feed for All i consider one of the best,if not The Best.Here you can make Feeds and Podcasts
you can even make your own Buttons for your Feed or Podcast.
Now that is just Fantastic.Go and Download it and try it out,they give a trialperiod,
i think you will like it.
You can create RSS feeds, edit RSS feeds, manage RSS feeds, and publish RSS news feeds with Feed for All.

If you haven't heard the term "podcast" yet, you will. It's about to blow
the world of online audio through the roof as every John, Peter and Jane
can now operate a highpowered Internet Radio station, providing on-demand audio and shortly, video, with nothing more than a microphone,simple software, and a little imagination. Just like cable TV in the 1980's gave smaller networks and individuals a voice on television, podcasting gives individuals a voice literally, through online audio.

Podcasting is actually the audio form of "blogging," where individuals share
their thoughts in writing over time on a dynamic webpage known as a "blog." With blogging, subscribers and other blog publishers subscribe to and cross promote each other's content by linking to and writing about each other. With podcasting, the author shares his or her thoughts in audio form (MP3) and subscribers download and listen to the audio either on their computers,
burn the files to CD, ortransfer the files to one of the increasingly popular portable MP3 players.

In fact, the term "podcasting" draws its name from the iPod, created by Apple Computers. Initially you might think the only people podcasting are geeks and computer nerds, but that's not the case. If you imagine "talk radio" meets "free cable access" then you have and idea of what pocasting is now and how it could evolve in the future. Right now, anyone with a microphone and something to say can create an online radio show. This type of access to media that reaches a world-widemarket enables smaller, niche publishers to develop aworld-wide following that just isn't monetarily feasible in traditional mass-media.

That means talk shows like "Rottweiler Breeding" or "Motorcycle Fashion Weekly" that could never hope to afford air time in a local market, can now develop an audience on the Internet. Log on to Podcastbunker or PodCastAlley to listen to a wide range of available shows on everything from dog training to wineselection and tasting tips (one of the most popular). Despite all this potential power, podcasting remains in an infancy stage right now. But, the Internet has always proven in the past that a powerful but simple technology will always find a way to make itself felt quickly.

All it needs to explode is a few people to lead the way and show exactly how to use the technology to entertain and educate subscribers. I also think two worlds will evolve for podcasting program publishers, just like cable vs. network television. Podcasting has become a "Buzz" word on the internet,and specially among the techie crowd.
So what is podcasting? and whats in it for me?

Podcasting is online audio content that is delivered via an RSS feed.
Many people liken podcasting to radio on demand.However in reality,
podcasting gives far more options in terms of content and programming
than radio does.
In addition,with Podcasting,listeners can determine time and place they want to listen to the podcast,and also which program they want to listen to also.
Listeners can have a look in the archives,and download the program they want,and listen to it when they want to.

Blogs have turned many bloggers to journalists,
Podcasting have the potential to turn podcasters into radio personalities.

Podcasting can be used for ;

1. Talk shows,tours and travels all over the world.
Sportscasts like Formel 1,Nascar Racing,Rally,
Moto GP,Roadracing,Motorcross,Tractorpulling,and much more.
2. Music,intervjues and playing of music,Old and New.
3. Business news,investor news,stocks,trading and much more.
4. Story telling for children and or the visually-impaired.

Podcasting is the syndication of audio files using RSS.Podcasting works the same as a standard RSS feed reader or news aggregator,the only difference is that the feed you subscribe to contains an audio file in it.

You can also send QMTP messages to your subscribers directly to their desktop,

BlogExpress is a fantastic RSS reader.They also have a Feed generator called,

FeedSpring its a great tool to make your own feeds.

Hello and welcome to my blog.iPodder has come with version 2.0 now,and if you dont have iPodder you have to try it.I think its the Best out there and its Free and Open Source.
It's compatible with Windows 2000 and XP,Mac OSX 10.3,and GNU/Linux.
